What is Paint Protection Film?
Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a transparent 165–200 micron polyurethane layer installed over your car's paint. It absorbs stone chips, scratches, and monsoon grit before they reach the metal. At Carsuit Mumbai, PPF comes in four series — White, Pro, Elite, and Ultimate — with written warranties up to 5+ years.
Every kilometre in Mumbai is an argument between your paint and the city — stone chips on the Sea Link, acid rain in July, a scooter mirror in Worli traffic. PPF ends the argument. It is a measured 165–200 micron thermoplastic urethane layer, plotter-cut to your exact car model, wrapped around every edge, and finished so precisely that most owners forget it's there.
Our Elite and Ultimate series films are self-healing: light swirls and wash marks vanish with heat — the sun, warm water, or a heat gun in our studio. The hydrophobic top coat means rain beads and rolls instead of drying into water spots. And unlike a repaint, film preserves your factory paint — which is exactly what the next buyer, and the resale valuer, want untouched.
We install Black PPF for a stealth look, Colored PPF for a full character change with protection built in, and partial kits — full front, bumper, high-impact panels, black-roof — for owners who want armor exactly where Mumbai attacks first.

Is PPF worth it in Mumbai's monsoon?
Yes — arguably nowhere more so. Mumbai rain carries acidic pollutants and coastal salt that etch unprotected clear coat, and waterlogged roads throw grit at your paint like sandpaper. PPF is a sacrificial 165–200 micron barrier: the film takes the damage, your paint doesn't.
How much does PPF cost in Mumbai?
At Carsuit, full-body PPF starts at ₹55,000 for a hatchback on White Series and goes up to ₹2,00,000+ for Ultimate Series on luxury cars. Partial kits start at ₹12,000. Mumbai market pricing for premium film runs ₹66,000–₹2,80,000 — beware of ₹15,000 'full front' offers using unknown film that yellows within a year.
How long does PPF last?
Our series carry written warranties of 3 to 5+ years against yellowing, peeling, and bubbling. With sensible care — pH-neutral washes, no automated brush car washes — the film routinely outlives its warranty.
Does PPF damage the paint when removed?
Professionally installed film on healthy factory paint removes cleanly. That's precisely why installation quality matters: bad adhesive work by untrained shops is where removal horror stories come from. Our applicators are trained, and removal is always done in-studio with heat.
PPF vs ceramic coating — which should I choose?
PPF is physical armor: it stops chips and scratches. Ceramic is chemical armor: gloss, hydrophobics, and easier washing — but it will not stop a stone chip. On a new car we recommend PPF on impact zones (or full body) and ceramic on glass and wheels. Many clients take The Full Suit bundle for exactly this reason.
How long does installation take?
Full-body installation takes 3–5 days depending on the car and series; partial kits take 1–2 days. We never compress cure time to rush a delivery.
