What is Ceramic Coating?
Ceramic coating is a liquid silica (SiO₂) layer that chemically bonds with your car's clear coat, curing into a 9H-hardness glass shell. It delivers deep gloss, hydrophobic water beading, and UV protection for 1–5 years. Carsuit Mumbai also offers graphene coating — harder, anti-static, and warrantied for 5 years.
Wax lasts weeks. Sealants last months. Ceramic bonds — permanently, at a molecular level — with your clear coat and stays for years. The result is a paint surface measurably harder than factory, with a candy-depth gloss that makes even solid white paint look wet.
Our graphene tier goes further: graphene-infused matrices run cooler, resist water spotting (Mumbai's hard water is brutal), and carry an anti-static property that literally repels dust. If you park under the open sky in this city, that one property changes your week.
We also coat what other studios skip: interiors (fabric, leather, trim), glass — rain sheets off the windscreen above 60 km/h — and wheels, where brake dust bakes on at 400°C. The full stack means every surface of the car cleans easier and stays newer.

What does 9H hardness actually mean?
9H refers to the pencil hardness scale — the coating resists scratching from a 9H graphite pencil, the hardest grade. In practice it means wash-induced swirls and light abrasion that would mark bare clear coat don't mark a cured ceramic layer.
Ceramic coating vs PPF — what's the difference?
Ceramic is chemical protection: gloss, hydrophobics, UV and stain resistance. PPF is physical protection: 165–200 microns of urethane that absorbs stone chips. Ceramic cannot stop a chip; PPF costs more. The engineering answer for Mumbai: PPF on impact zones, ceramic everywhere else.
How long does ceramic coating last in Mumbai's climate?
Our coatings are warrantied for 1, 3, or 5 years by tier. Coastal humidity and UV are exactly what the chemistry is built for — but maintenance matters: pH-neutral washes and an annual inspection keep the hydrophobics sharp.
Can I wash the car normally after coating?
Yes — hand washes with pH-neutral shampoo. Avoid automated brush washes; they micro-mar any surface, coated or not. Skip washing for the first 7 days while the coating fully cures.
Is graphene coating actually better than ceramic?
For Mumbai, measurably: graphene's anti-static surface attracts less dust, its lower thermal absorption reduces water-spot etching on hot panels, and our graphene tier carries a 5-year warranty versus 3 for ceramic. It costs roughly 50% more.
